The Founding of America - Complete Audio Set
A Five-Part Seminar on Audio CDs

The Founding of America did not start with the sound of "the alarm" of the Red Coats advancing from Concord. Using the fascinating backdrop of God’s providential timetable, evangelist/historian Richard “Little Bear” Wheeler vividly retraces the advancement of individual and national liberty, from its earliest connection to William Wallace in the Scottish cause for freedom, to America’s war-torn Old Glory.

The intriguing drama of history continues to unfold—as the foundations of God’s Holy Word and His Providence are Divinely established; as a persevering Christopher Columbus discovers American shores in preparation for a faithful people; as the Pilgrims establish a beachhead of faith-loving freedom through self-denial and hardships; and ultimately, as the heroic Founding Fathers and valiant women embrace the furnace of affliction for a lasting freedom in this one nation under God. Accurate… Inspiring… An in-depth study of providential history—ideal for the avid young history student, as well as for the parent/educator. Live recording.

Old Times in the Colonies (1492-1760 AD)
    by Charles Coffin

The settlement of our country was the beginning of a new era. Ever since the days of King John, when the barons compelled him to sign the Magna Charta in the meadow of Runnymede, the oppressed people of England had struggled against tyranny. And when the emigrants sailed across the Atlantic to establish their homes in Virginia and New England, it was for the transplanting of liberty to a continent where everything was new, and where the conditions that surrounded them were wholly unlike those of the Old World.

Through all the narratives of conflicts, turmoil and wars, you will see Justice and Liberty ever advancing. Old Times in the Colonies, therefore is not an unmeaning record of events, but the story of the rise of a great nation, the growth of individual liberty, the coming in of constitutional government in the Western World—the history of America.

The Boys of '76 (1775-1783 AD)
    by Charles Coffin

The Boys of '76: The Battles of the American Revolution is the story of what our forefathers accomplished—their hardships, heroism, and self-denial in securing the independence of the country, and in advancing liberty and happiness throughout the world.

In this volume an attempt has been made to give a concise, plain, and authentic narrative of the principal battles of the Revolution as witnessed by those who took part in them from the sound of "the alarm" of the Red Coats advancing from Concord, to the final gleeful cry of General Washington's dispatch delivered at long last, "Twelve o'clock, and Cornwallis taken! Cornwallis taken!"—marking the end of a lengthy war and the final victory cry for America's liberty from tyranny.

Battle of Long Island - Video on DVD
Retold by evangelist/historian Richard "Little Bear" Wheeler

Lessons on Divine Providence: Just after King George III received the Colonialists' Declaration of Independence, he was "fit to be tied." He mustered up England's finest war general, General Howe, along with over twenty-eight thousand British soldiers, and sent him to New York harbor to get the Americans to "surrender their foolish ideas of independence."

Little did King George realize that the Patriots' stand against tyranny would be a resolute fight to the finish. By the latter part of August 1776, under General Washington's command, the Continental Army found themselves surrounded by General Howe's staggering forces. Only the providential intervention of a mighty God, as retold by "little Bear," could turn this inevitable disaster into the miracle of Long Island for the cause of liberty.

The Battle of Monongahela - Video on DVD
Retold by evangelist/historian Richard "Little Bear" Wheeler

Lessons on Divine Providence: What would you think if I told you that when George Washington was twenty-one years old, he had two horses shot from under him, five bullets pass through his coat, one through his hat, and yet escaped unharmed while his companions were being leveled all around him? Did you ever have a school teacher tell you that George Washington was a committed Christian, and that he believed that Divine Providence protected him in battle? "Little Bear" helps to set the record straight.

The purpose of this video is to reveal and acknowledge the wonderful works of God in the critical, as well as personal events all throughout the course of history, so that we may fulfill the commission—That the generation to come might know. . . and declare them to their children" (Psalm 78:6).

Battle of Trenton - Video on DVD
Retold by evangelist/historian Richard "Little Bear" Wheeler

Lessons on Prayer: The American forces had reached an all-time low in the state of morale, yet it was only the beginning of the War for Independence. The British were superior in experience and had the men, money, and equipment to defeat the Americans on all fronts. Washington found himself in need of a victory. But how?

Allow "Little Bear" to retell this providential account that led to America's first major victory in the American Revolution. Our victory—their defeat, came as a surprise to an army caught off guard. The conclusion will reveal how Christians can be caught off guard, spiritually speaking, and how we can strengthen our position in order to remain alert to the wiles of the devil who is seeking a victory at our expense.

Lessons in Humility: The world's greatest leaders who are most loved and respected have learned the important lessons of humility as taught by Christ when He said, "If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all" (Mark 9:35).

Discover the identity of the anonymous officer who did not consider himself above the others, but instead, dismounted his horse, rolled up his sleeves, and lent a much needed helping hand at a crucial moment in time. This character-building lesson, as retold by "Little Bear," is based on a true event in the life of a most famous general, who chose to follow the example of Christ in serving others without regard to his rank and station--resulting in a lasting impression and inspiration to many.
